A clean referral resource for the decisions just outside the return

When a client's income, Social Security, or Medicare questions intersect the tax picture, we handle the licensed implementation — so your client is served completely and you stay in your lane.

You see the whole income picture — and you often see the decisions sitting just outside the return. A client's income spikes and quietly pushes their Medicare premiums up two years later. A surviving spouse moves to single filing. A client turning 65 asks you about Medicare. We're the licensed partner who handles those protection and coverage pieces, so your client is served completely and you stay squarely in your lane.

When a referral makes sense

Common situations where we pick up where the tax work leaves off:

  • A client's income is about to spike — a large Roth conversion, first-year RMDs, a property sale — and you can see it will drive an income-related Medicare surcharge two years out.
  • A client is unsure when to claim Social Security, and how much of the benefit will be taxable alongside their other income.
  • A client is turning 65 and confused about Medicare — Original vs. Advantage, Part D, supplements, and enrollment deadlines.
  • A client asks you a tax question about an annuity or life insurance policy and needs a licensed professional to actually review or place coverage.
  • A client — or their aging parent — faces long-term-care cost exposure with no plan to fund it.
  • A surviving spouse is moving from joint to single filing, with a changed bracket, a possible surcharge jump, and a new income picture to rebuild.

What your client gets

Plain-English options instead of a sales pitch — we explain Medicare choices and income-and-protection trade-offs so the client can decide. We do the licensed implementation you can't: comparing and placing Medicare, life, annuity, and long-term-care coverage across multiple states. And we work around your numbers — income-driven surcharges, taxable Social Security, withdrawal timing — so the protection decisions don't undo the tax plan. When a life event has cut a client's income, we can even flag that they may be able to ask Social Security to reconsider an income-related surcharge.

We protect your standing. The value here is a better outcome for your client — not compensation to you. We don't pay referral fees, which keeps things clean regardless of your independence or attest relationships.

How the referral works

  • No cost to refer, and no obligation — you simply make an introduction.
  • You keep the relationship. We support the client and never touch the tax work.
  • We coordinate and report back, so your tax plan and their protection plan stay aligned.
  • No pressure on your client — the same education-first approach you'd want your name attached to.

Independence and lane discipline

We provide insurance and Medicare guidance — not tax advice. You remain the client's tax advisor; we won't be asked to give tax opinions, and you won't be asked to place insurance. Because we never share compensation with you, there's no commission-disclosure question to manage on your end. It's the cleanest version of a referral relationship for an audience that lives and dies by its independence.

In short

  • We handle the Medicare, income, and protection decisions that intersect the tax picture.
  • No referral fees — the benefit is a better client outcome, not compensation to you.
  • Your client stays your client; you remain their tax advisor.
  • We coordinate around your numbers and report back.
  • Insurance guidance, not tax advice — clean lanes, both ways.
