Prescription Savings

Ways to pay less for your medications

A curated directory of programs, pharmacies, and assistance organizations that can lower what you pay for prescriptions — whether you have insurance or not. Every link on this page was checked and working as of July 2026.

How to use this page: These are independent, third-party organizations — we list them as a service, not an endorsement, and we receive nothing for these listings. Programs and prices change, so confirm details directly with each one, and talk with your doctor or pharmacist before changing where or how you get a medication.

Looking for a simple all-in-one option? Start with BaxRx, the prescription savings program we offer — a free discount card, or a membership with $0 generics and home delivery.

Free coupon & discount cards

Free to use, no sign-up required at the pharmacy counter. Prices vary a lot between cards and pharmacies — it's worth comparing two or three for your specific medication:

  • GoodRx — the most widely known price-comparison and coupon site.
  • BuzzRx — free discount coupons accepted at most major pharmacies.
  • SingleCare — discount card with per-pharmacy price comparison.
  • Spring Meds — discounted generics and prescription medications.
  • ScriptSave WellRx — discount card plus medication-management tools.
  • Walgreens Rx Savings Finder — Walgreens' own prescription savings finder.
  • RxAssist — a directory that helps you find affordable options and coupons by medication.

Low-cost US pharmacies

  • Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drugs — transparent pricing: the drug's actual cost plus 15% and a small shipping & handling fee.
  • Team Cuban Card — brings Cost Plus pricing to participating local pharmacies: your prescription is sent there and you pick it up nearby at the same honored price.
  • The Canadian Medstore — low-priced alternatives with US storefronts in Zephyrhills and Tampa, Florida — in-person pickup or shipping. (866) 872-3784.

Ordering from Canada & Israel

Some people order brand-name medications from licensed pharmacies abroad at a fraction of the US price. If you go this route, stick to verified pharmacies and know that delivery can take several weeks:

  • Northwest Pharmacy — established Canadian online pharmacy.
  • The Canadian Pharmacy — Canadian online pharmacy for brand and generic medications.
  • PharmaPassport — CIPA-certified; often used for Eliquis and Jardiance. Accepts American Express only. 866-293-3904.
  • Canada Prescriptions Plus — CIPA-certified; often used for Eliquis. American Express or bank transfer; allow several weeks for delivery. 866-779-7587.
  • IsraelPharm — licensed Israeli pharmacy that ships to the US. (866) 456-3768 · rx@israelpharm.com.
Check before you order: Use PharmacyChecker to compare and verify international pharmacies, and the FDA's BeSafeRx program to confirm any online pharmacy is legitimate before sending money or a prescription.

Diabetes, insulin & weight loss

  • Ivim Health — compounding alternative for GLP-1 medications (for example, alternatives to Zepbound).
  • Medvantx — an affordable source for medications like Qsymia for weight management.
  • MyInsulinRx™ — if you're uninsured or have commercial insurance, text ENROLL to 24177 to receive the offer.
  • Novo Nordisk affordability line — 844-668-6463 (844-Novo4Me), option 2. Ask about affordability options for diabetic medications. Mon–Fri 8am–11pm, Sat 11am–7pm ET.
  • Insulin for Life — donated insulin for people who can't afford it. (352) 327-8649 (9–5 ET) · staff@iflusa.org.

Financial help specifically for diabetes

  • American Diabetes Association — 800-342-2383.
  • HealthWell Foundation — 800-675-8416. Grants (around $1,000/year) open and close as funding allows and can be backdated about 30 days for recent out-of-pocket costs. Sign up for their text alerts to know when a window reopens — and if you call, stay on hold rather than requesting a callback, because funds go quickly.
  • Patient Access Network (PAN) Foundation — 866-316-7263.
  • Rx Hope — 877-296-4673.

Copay & financial assistance (all conditions)

  • Copay.org — copay assistance foundation.
  • Good Days — (877) 968-7233, Mon–Fri 8am–5pm CT. Pays what your insurance won't, for specific diagnoses. Requires Medicare enrollment (Medigap and drug-plan members included) and household income within 5× the Federal Poverty Level. Enroll online or by phone. Note: they don't assist with diabetic medications — use HealthWell or PAN for those.
  • Patient Advocate Foundation — (866) 512-3861.
  • Manufacturer Patient Assistance Programs (PAPs) — nearly every pharmaceutical manufacturer runs a program that helps Medicare recipients afford otherwise-unaffordable medications. Call the maker of your specific medication and ask, especially if you qualify financially.

Brand-specific programs

  • Synthroid Delivers — brand Synthroid starting at $25/month, delivered. synthroiddeliversprogram.com · (844) 438-7968.
  • Taltz (ixekizumab)everyone.org, a European supplier that delivers to the US.

PrEP & PEP (HIV prevention)

  • United Way — 651-291-0211.
  • Salvation Army — contact your local branch.

Also call the manufacturer of your medication directly — most offer coupons if you qualify financially — and use the free coupon cards at the top of this page.
